...and I’m not sure why. I’m redoing our hot tub (built from a kit - I’m a DIY’er) and was going to add an (in-tub, underwater) LED light strip, since the spa controller has a 12 V output for just this purpose. I decided to splurge a bit and got probably the most expensive IP68 rated (ie submersible) 5 meter strip on Amazon, well reviewed for around $46. It says IP68 in the title of the item, and they have pictures in the listing showing it under water. (It may be from an Amazon-related seller, not Amazon per se).
Then I get it, and it says IP65 on the box - not submersible at all. Waste of time, made me mad. So I dashed off this two star review:
They didn’t actually get to being submersed - they failed almost immediately, and I initiated a return. Amazon says they’ll give me a refund, but won’t post the review. Their email has a link purportedly to their review policy, but the link is dead.
Oh well. I’m just wondering why Amazon would let this false description stand untouched. Yeah, I wrote my review while mad, but I thought it was accurate. What did I do wrong?

Even though they are titled and sold as "IP68" (which is submersible), and show pictures of it under water, what they sent is listed as IP65 (NOT submersible) on the package.
They look like good quality lights. I'm hoping the labeling on the box is erroneous, because I'm going to be submersing them, and if they fail, the review goes to one star and the item gets returned.
