A little help? Lawn mower won't run...
#15
Take the carb apart and clean it. I handn’t used my lawn mower in four years and left it with gas. Honda engine. Used carb choke cleaner to spray the carb. Everything looked good, drained gas and checked fuel line. Changed oil and spark plug. (Filter,Oil,Spark plug) Kit cost $16 at HD. Pulled to start it would run for less than a minute. Watched a YouTube video on cleaning carb. Took carb off and cleaned it. It was plugged up like crazy. Put it together and all is good. Next was the line trimmer. I ended up just ordering a carb off amazon for $12 and new fuel lines for $10. A rebuild kit was like $5.

We lived in rental that included lawn care. After two years in my home, with a lawn care guy. He decides to raise the rate and my youngest son is 15. Wife is like “it’s time”.

Edit: if you can get the bowl screw off the bottom of the carb (10mm bolt) and spray some choke cleaner through the top orifice... probably easier to spray in the bolt hole to clean out the main nozzle. That would be the easiest way to clean any obstructions from the carb.
