Issue just showed up for me with one of our family phones. It's a year old and 3 months out of the Applecare Plus warranty. Showed up shortly after iOS 11 upgrade.
I'd pay the $319 to swap it out, but the replacement is only guaranteed for 90 days. Even the genius tech indicated that it's a risky gamble when the new one may fail the same way. Could be facing another $319 replacement decision. Need some time to process this. Only immediate solution is to use bluetooth headphones for any type of voice call.
