... if you’re holding your nose to vote, it’s either because the voter hates the person/loves the policy (which could have a whiff of accepting corruption if the ends justify the means) or it could be the opposite. My point is that holding your nose for any reason is a red flag that probably means both the candidate and the voter have serious issues.
Oftentimes that gets misconstrued to only vote on a “purity” candidate who can’t win. My position is that purity is a farce and that people taken at face value have merit. Accept the flaws but continue to hold them accountable as the
