I have never seen or heard of anyone double cupping a styrofoam coffee cup. You can put boiling liquids in there and at most it's warmish on the outside. Double cupping a paper cup is a common occurrence, but not with styrofoam. Are they being overly dramatic to justify the switch?
Probably. DD serves their coffee at proper temperatures unlike McDonalds before they got sued. The McD's coffee served at 180-190 needed the double cupping.
