There is a website over here that compares all products in all supermarkets and checking it out confirms my first thought. The main size of fruit juice, whether it is 'from concentrate' or 'not from concentrate', that is the supermarket own brand is 1 litre and has been for many years. 1 litre is about 34 ounces. A larger size is the 1.5 litre which is 52 ounces. Apart from the small individual drink size they are the sizes and they haven't changed for a very long time so no you can easily see if the price per volume changes. Many of the branded juice companies also use those sizes however Tropicana and Innocent seem to use any size but the standard ones so even though it might look similar to the other 1 litre containers theirs might have (quick check) 950ml, 920ml, 790ml, 820ml and others. The ones that look like 1.5l are 1.4l or 1.3l.
We have done taste testing of juice from all the main supermarkets and are very happy with Aldi which turns out to be the cheapest.
