I tried changing S&P permissions for Voila, but that did not work. Pretty sure that a recent Apple "update" to Mojave broke a bunch of audio stuff. Recently, I've lost Audition, Voila, and now Amadeus.

I was able to purchase Capto for $17, and it does exactly what Voila did. Worth the money in view of the time I was spending trying to get this to work.

For older operating systems up to maybe 10.12, the free SoundFlower lets you direct your system audio to your recording software.
Rogue Amoeba's Loopback works for more recent operating systems.
...BTW: Did you try giving Voila permission to access your audio in the Security & Privacy > Microphone settings?
