I was the caretaker of a hot springs in the mountains of Wyoming for several winters. The pool was drained every night after closing; it required me to be in the water through much of the process, and usually I was skinny dipping. I’d have to jump up, do some scrubbing, and then get back in the water to re-warm. At its peak, the water came out of the ground at around 117 to 118 degrees. There were some stretches when the air temp went as low as -48. For a few minutes, I could walk around without feeling the cold, but when that period ended, it ended quickly.
