The problem with having these conditions spring up is that there are already fires burning. Add 40 or 50 mph winds, incredibly dry air, and a hot day, and the current fires could spread way out of control.
I wonder if the Southern California inland areas are going to be just as out of bounds as the Gulf Coast as global warming continues to develop -- ie: what insurance company is going to be willing to offer coverage if there is a hurricane every 9 years or a brush fire every 15?
