I'd call the place in mid afternoon on a weekday and ask to speak to the manager and tell him/her what happened as well as the reason why it's huge deal that the guy did that--he was asking for access to your Apple account for no reason and could have taken over the account himself--just in case the manager is a doofus. Then I'd also find a way to report it to TMobile corporate.
When we ported over to TMobile and got new 12's at a store, my wife did have to log into her Apple account as the phones were being changed. They handed her either the old one or the new one (I forget which) and asked her to log in so she did (with an irritated sigh because it happens too often for her!). Mine ported over and got a new 12 without having to log in. Don't have any idea why there was a difference.
