One might wonder if, in a different state, Florhaug might have been justified in fearing for his life. The basic facts are not too dissimilar from the guy who was nagging the couple about being in the wrong parking place, and got pushed down in the parking lot before he shot.
(*while some kind of justice eventually prevailed in that case, it was only after the local sheriff himself invoked “stand your ground” when explaining why he wasn’t going to charge the guy).
