Its about being a "laptop" for many of these tests. Its not the fastest in every test, but is in many -- but more to the point, its about the *portability*.
Tasks take the same amount of time whether plugged in or not -- unlike the PC counterparts. Performance never suffers. And while on battery, the difference between using 3% to perform some heavy duty tasks vs 35+% on the PC -- again throttled -- is really killing them.
My recommendation for all my "mobile" users is the 16" with the M1P for the better battery... and performance thats near the same as the M1M.
