Here, some supermarkets and pharmacies are supposed to be giving them away - I think 3 per person. I haven’t been, since I have enough (and have been sharing mine with friends and family who will use them responsibly ).
They (the 1870s) do look very similar, though I wonder if they have the flexible metal nose piece and memory foam inside to reduce eyeglass fogging and increase comfort... that's a really nice feature of the 9205 / 9211's. Fabric sounds excellent. The red band always gets caught in my hair.

Then I dunno... the only other difference I noticed was the head straps. On the 1870's, it looks like a red band; on the 9205's, it's usually a blue band, and on the 9211+'s that I really like, it's not a rubber band at all, but rather a flexible fabric band which is FAR more comfortable for me.
