Sorry, I would have thought that'd have been obvious from the discussion of the characters, the fact that it was a 1984 movie, casting, etc. True that it was a blind link, but not to anything particularly offensive.
Edit: a John Carpenter score ??? Wow, just wow. The 1984 film had a soundtrack from Tangerine Dream that was really excellent, so I'll be curious to see what Carpenter does with this.
