Baby birds gone overnight
#12
My parents had two cats years ago. One was as sweet as could be, played with the rabbits in the back yard, friendly to any dog that came by; the other was a killer who wiped out bats, shrews, bunnies, birds, you name it, if she could catch it it was dead.

One day we noticed the nice cat was lying on his stomach in the front yard staring at something between his paws. He was quietly observing a fledgling it as it moved around the space he had created around it and seemed fascinated by it.

Then out came girl cat. One look and she ran over and snapped the little bird's neck. The sweet guy just stared after her as she swaggered off. He honestly looked shocked.
