Another vote for the '90s
Off the top of my head: yes, there was political rancor, but nowhere near what it is today (even Newt Gingrich & Bill Clinton managed to be able to work together); smoking on airplanes and out in public finally became less of a thing if not outright not allowed, car reliability finally started to be a thing, myself and my peers as young working professionals were easily able to make a decent life for ourselves - even in pricey (and now insanely pricey) coastal San Diego, without internet everywhere 24/7 people actually socialized and interacted with each other...I'm sure there's more, but that's what came immediately to mind for me
