I'm not sure if they can do a price adjust on an online item since online prices quite often do differ from the warehouse prices. But you should be able to return it for a full refund of the online price and then purchase it at the warehouse price.
And I've learned that one can even negotiate with the manager on price. I once found a single unit of an item that was being sold online that the store didn't normally stock, they had no regular place to put it, not price tags, it was just on a cart in a corner of the store. It was from an online purchase that someone returned to the store, it was unopened.
I successfully negotiated a pretty good price with the manager, saying that I was doing him a favor taking it off his hands because they don't even have a place to put it.
