How many hrs on DVD-r?

I need to export a bunch of footage for a coworker to review captured in FCP. How many hrs can I fit on a dvd exported and then compressed in something like toast or idvd? I'll be putting in the timecode for him to log the clips he wants. I have about 6-7 hours total. Looking for suggestions on how to break it up.
