FWIW, the terminal velocity of a bullet (say, fired straight upward) is typically not that large. Depending on the bullet this science writer says ~200 mph at most, but less than 100 mph with some. (It’s an interesting little article).
But of course, if you shoot at a low angle, the bullet comes down sooner and hasn’t dissipated all that muzzle velocity.
A bad idea in any case.
