In Los Angeles, CBS NBC, and ABC ran the story, including live coverage of the Smith press conference. Channel 11 is the Fox broadcast station, and they continued to run some quiz show that I've never heard of. I do not know what the cable version of Fox ran.
The story, if I understand correctly, is that Trump has been indicted for what happened on January 6. The CBS commenter interpreted the indictment as accusing Trump of conspiring with others to stop the congress from doing its job on Jan 6, in a way which went beyond his right to speak his mind and share his opinions.
The CBS commenters did not seem at all unsure about who most of the coconspirators are, ticking them off one by one including Eastman. I imagine Giuliani is one of them.
By the way, there is nothing to stop Trump from running for president, but his ability to appear at rallies on trial days may be slightly compromised.
