Well, they tried to kill her by firing back, obviously, but missed.
Seems just as likely (if not moreso) that the alternate outcome had she not lobbed off a shot was that they would have taken the stuff and left. In other words, same outcome, only with far less risk to her life, and less damage to her property.
I think you gunners live in a fantasy world.
Interesting how you have such details about the intent of the armed criminals. We could use Chicago as an experiment, if only criminals have guns, they won't have any motivation to use them against unarmed people. Could have prevented 1833 shootings in just one city.
