Battery powered riding mower, any ready for prime time?
#21
I can't imagine mowing a 5 acre yard. Do you want your own golf course or park? What did the previous guy use to mow it?

If it were me, I would figure out a way to mow about an acre and let the other 4 acres go natural. Maybe bring in the goats a couple times a year for the non-mowed areas.

Even with only an acre, you will want a good zero turn riding mower. If you get a commercial-grade mower (expensive), you could do all 5 acres, but I still don't see why you would want to.

For an electric riding mower, it looks like it's a minimum of $4K for new, and $5K-7K for a zero turn electric. An electric can do an acre or two, but probably not five.
