How often do you upgrade your phone?

I’m on cricket so upgrades come when I have the money and/or features I want. My last was from 6s plus to xs max. Primarily because it was the cheapest oled model with a large screen. And I got “upgrade” from Swappa when the current generation was the 12. So not the latest and greatest.
