I found myself at a stoplight that I don't often need to stop at and realized that just across the pavement is a futon store that was once the mighty CompUSA. I'd go to that building at least once a week - often several times a week.
Another recent musing was a slight urge to 'go to Fry's' - as I used to do and just peruse the aisles and look for neat stuff.
I don't miss those days, but sometimes, I kinda do...
Ain't that something? I miss my favorite CompUSA too. Fry's and other great places. It was the experience that was fun. I remember having to wait in that long line at Fry's especially during the holidays. The magazine section was robust and just tons of software to buy and try. Towards it latter days, I remember CompUSA had one of their big TV's running "Finding Nemo." I stood there for the entire time and watched it. Enjoyed it. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise. I did the same thing (while sitting down) at the nearby Circuit City and watched "Toy Story 2" which I really enjoyed.
Look how excited people are for freakin' Windows 98. I love that!!! https://youtu.be/eKYj6E-L01g?list=PL5NIN...ZueTF24E4z
