What's the differentiation between UC & state? I thought UCs were state. I would think Berkeley would be the most selective of the UC system.
I come from a UC family. Parents were Berkeley, sister was Santa Barbara, brother was Davis.
I broke the mold and went to Penn State.
I think in-state tuition at UCs was <$1000 when I was applying (late 80s).
