And from the second posting (my first):

See, I was talking about versions 2.0 because it was one of the items from the page you linked. Also, I had actually used that version and overall I liked the software. Unfortunately, I get very few .doc files, so I never purchased a license.

However, if I were you, and you clearly get enough Word documents to make icWord well worth the price, I would not hesitate to spring for the license. I simply think it would be nice if the older. non updated version was $10. If icWord 2.0 was $10, I would purchased it for a "just in case" scenario.

Ultimately, I think we both agree the software is top notch, I just have different needs and much older computers to support. Again, I think icWord 4.0 is priced fairly, I'm simply quibbling with the pricing of the older version. I do thank you for bringing attention to this application because I think the Mac shareware developers are our greatest asset.

P.s. This link shows I am enthusiastic about icWord:

I ended up dropping the that client who wanted to send me one word document per week. Once that work dried up after a month, I was back to not receiving any .doc files. Had I continued on that project I would have purchased a license for icWord 2.0 and 4.0. See I'm not that terrible a person. Smile
