I'll vote for my oldie (late '99) original model iBook (300 big boss mHz) as the prince of couch surfin' machines. For one thing, its less-grippy bottom surface combined w/its weight and wide footprint, make it particularly stable when perched on the arm of even a slippery couch, chair, etc. In the rare event it gets knocked off that perch... no problem. Practically bomb-proof.
Its large sloped deck surfaces are mucho comfortable for the surfing hand (serves as built-in wrist rest for support) and far more ergonomic than current mac books. And it Feels good to the touch. (1st gen clamshell only; later models used diff deck/kb plastic, neither as elegant in look or feel as the translucent original's.)
TV remote, pencil, etc can safely rest nestled in the slightly concave deck surface above the keyboard. Its jelly-color aqua Blueberry color steers ones mind to simple, child-like thoughts. And its un-hurried performance (10.3.9) promotes a general calm and slothful state appropriate to said cushy cushioned platform.
I rest my case.
