If more people buy Intel Macs, Mac marketshare will increase.
If Mac marketshare increases, more people will develop a preference for OS X even though they are *forced* to use Windows for some things.
That will provide an incentive for current Mac developers to continue to write Mac software or incentive to other developers who wish to get a leg up on those that don't.
Also, the Mac OS has a bit of *prestige* that Windows lacks.
Why be one of a million non-descript Windows apps when you can be considered *special* on OS X.
As far as games are concerned, buy an X-Box or PS3.
