Recommended it to my dad for use as computer speakers already. He wanted something in the $50 range that would sound ok for iTunes playback in the office. He's got some junky 10-year-old Gateway speakers now.
He would probably only use it as 2.1, but at that price it's gotta blow away any $50 2.1 computer speaker system out there (if I'm wrong and anyone's got a good tip on this, let me know). Plus he won't have hardly as much hassle as he does now when he occasionally hooks up his turntable to his mac.
