It annoys me. I replaced nearly all of my LPs and cassettes with CDs over time. However, that was because I wanted to the superior sound quality as well as a medium that is far less likely to wear out. Same goes for videos. The stuff I can't replace on DVD such as home videos and recordings of old TV shows have long since been converted to DVD via my DVD recorder.
I will not replace anything I have on CD or DVD until the formats are no longer supported and/or something newer is truly worth the money. HD isn't enough. Heck, they'll probably have to go HD and 3D before I'll start the replacement process again - lol!
