I had one decide my front yard was its new home.
Would attack me when I went out the front door, pecking at my legs and hissing.
I fed it corn and sunflower seeds because its antics were comical.
It would eat food off my shoe but not out of my hand.
Would follow me around the yard.
Slept on the same pine tree branch 10 feet up every night.
Disappeared after about 6 months.
Either lunch for a predator or found a flock and decided move on.
Never found a pile of feathers like that left behind from a hawk's lunch.
Not terribly bright or self preservating animals. Not surprising they were hunted to near extinction by the colonists. Easy pickings.
