DELL recalling 4.1 mill computers! on CNBC now

[quote tortoise]In fairness to Dell as mentioned the Lithium battery is supplied by Sony and the story just aired on CNN mentioned several other manufacturers using the same battery, including Lenovo, HP, Compaq and others. It remains to be seen if there is something peculiar about the way Dell units interact with the battery or if the other manufacturers may also have to issue recalls to limit their liability which in this case could be catastrophic.
The NBC Nightly News version of the report also mentioned Sony selling batteries to Apple Computer as well as those noted above.
