The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response
#33
[quote h']Why is it necessary to sneer down at the kids working at Starbucks?
I'm not. I'm commenting on the Starbucks kids that are snot-nose busybodies who think THEY know better than corporate, and by God they're going to make sure that nobody gets anything THEY don't think someone should get. Never mind corporate policies; those corporate policies are just WRONG, so say these kids, and by God these kids are going to ignore the policies and do what these kids insist is right.

For $7.55/hour. Yeah, they know more than the billion-dollar corporate senior management.

We were all 20 once, and all had some crappy retail or service job, and all had some degree of attitude so we could get through the day with a pretend bit of self esteem.

Really? I never had a crappy retail job. And gee, regarding working, my attitude was that you should either do it well or don't do it at all.

As far as taking it out on the customer...well, I've never had a retail job. But you're making a bunch of excuses for your behavior--just like these $7.55/hour Starbucks kids. And there is no excuse for it. "Waaaaaah, they're making us refill the milk pitcher! That's WORK!" Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine. If these kids (a) had a work ethic, and (b) the brains to work smart and not hard, they'd realize they have one of the easiest jobs on the planet.

Elmo, you really can't help but suck , can you?

Coming from you, that's a badge of honor.

Now, go whine somewhere else about how those damn customers made you work and how unfair it was.
