mikebw, yes, they seem to be doing pretty well with that carrot. I've been told it's a good "starter" vegetable for these guys because unlike some others, it's easily digestible, contains a fair amount of sugar, and of course it has the vitamins which are good for their developing eyes (not that they need their eyesight all that much, but can't hurt). They also need protein and calcium... protein they're getting from mother's milk (she's getting it from the TSP mostly) and calcium from milk (she's getting it from some milk-soaked bread I've been giving her). Surprisingly she doesn't seem to care much for hardboiled egg, which is something else people suggest feeding the mom during pregnancy and afterward.
