Foot/inch marks in Illustrator?
#12
>>>well that works in Quark (which i already know =), and, fwiw, its control + " to get foot or inch marks, not option (but im sure you know that too =)<<<

I didn't know that, thanks (if you have smart quotes checked in prefs/application/interactive). If you have smart quotes unchecked, then the option keys are the ones to use.

When setting what I call "Monster Charts" for something such as boating catalogs with a ton of product options which show inch and foot measurements, then keeping smart quotes off is the less painful way.
