Cheesey '80s songs that evoke strong memories

I'm surprised no one mentioned Madonna. I was in my early 20's during the 80's and had a brand new wife who was hooked on Madonna. She was a real Madonna wanna-be during that time frame.

Also remember hearing a lot of Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, (remember Thriller?) and a bunch of those MTV tunes. MTV was actually quite good in the beginning. Today it's just unwatchable.
