They tried to make me go to rehab. . .but I said NO, NO, NO. . .

I was going to mention Aguilera. She might have the best voice of the three and it's an absolute shame to hear her sing. Plus, her choice of songs and the genre she landed in, just plain depressing.

Her best song is still Genie In A Bottle...tee-hee but true.

Gwen Stephanie..i don't think she belongs here because, in her current state, she's just playing games, having a little fun and making some cash. I think she's very aware of what she's doing right now and is doing it in a very calculated and smart way..power to her, she's not a dummy. At heart I believe that she's a rocker and a decent singer.

It could be interesting to hear what happens to Christine or Amy or Joss when they grow up and find their real voice.

I think it's very difficult for a young girl to actually make their way to a real style in a natural way these days...If you have looks, or a look, and can hold a tune...you get sucked into the system so quickly. Once there, it is very difficult for a natural progression towards real style to occur. These girls are complimented to death..pumped up, packaged and pushed out the door. It's kind of a shitty atmosphere for the development of a real artist.

Janis Joplin was just Janis, plain and simple..the looks didn't matter. Same with Aretha but she came from the gospel culture and soul was in place. Of course, it helps to have one of the voices of our time and some great songs to sing.

I don't think Joss or Amy have achieved soul or real integrity as pure singers, they are both mimics and that's what makes them affected.
