Listen to this story my sister just told me - (towing/boot/red tape)

[quote C(-)ris]Frustrated with your sister or frustrated with the system? I'd hope it is with your sister.
No, definitely frustrated with the system. People make mistakes, and she paid her tickets late. The system then continued to accrue fees without notification. She was more than willing to pay the late fees on the tickets. It was the ensuing morass of bureaucratic red tape that seemed to out-of-proportion.

I've paid several bills late over the years, and I've had to face consequences - late fees, finance charges, etc. When I make the mistake, I'm willing to pay the price. One time our bank changed the account number on our mortgage and didn't notify us. My auto-pays kept going from my bank, but they weren't being credited to our account, because of the changed account number. I faced a whole bunch of late fees and finance changes, and I fought for months until they were all reversed. It wasn't easy, but I felt like it was not my fault. That was frustrating.

It is not really fair to just say, "She screwed up, she deserved it." I don't think anyone deserves to go through this type of process or be treated this way.
