I'm about at the end of my patience (job search)

I agree that networking is the key even tho' admittedly at times I am hesitant because I don't want to 'bother' people, esp. acquaintances, neighbors, and such. Or I don't want to look desperate (tho' I am!) or to give the people the impression that "What is wrong with him? Why can't he land a job?". So I have been networking with friends and friends of friends.
