Would you move to Shanghai to/for/because of work?

When my wife was looking for a new job last year, we looked far and wide before finding one down the street. I don't think Shanghai ever came up, but we certainly would've considered it. It's more appealing than some of the other exotic locales that were on the list.

We found that just being willing to just drop this life and start a new one in some foreign land was liberating. And we sometimes regret we didn't get to do that.
