I hope your fedex package wasn't on this truck

[quote Jimmypoo]I think we are NOT seeing enough of the dual trailer fiasco that the DOT and Congress has permitted.

I don't want to say more - so this doesn't become a political thread --- therefore, I'll refer all readers to the "Who Are The Moderators???" thread as a diversion.

I originally was against dual trailers. But recently I've been amazed at how well composed they play with others. Not sure what if any technology has changed. Now, with the purported Mexican trucks being allowed in, I'll reserve my judgment until I see (if I can even TELL), how they do.

I've ridden with one of my employer's 'logistics' truckers. They are very professional. They would get let's say demerits for breaking the speed limit. Three in one day and they would be penalized. And we did not use tandem trailers, either. I was underneath a semi once. Well, it was on my left side and as we entered a turn, it went on ITS left side, it was interesting to watch the bottom/underneath of it RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I hopped out and assisted in getting this guy and his lady out. She was screaming like a crazy person. I will never be on the LEFT side of ANY SEMI in that particular turn again! [Blu-it was the transition from 69s to 465 (east)] That was the first of TWO Semis that tipped over in ONE WEEK on the same curve. I saw them both.
