I have:
One 27" Sony WEGA -- in the bedroom
One 32" Philips FauxFlat -- in the living room
One 9" Emerson -- in the kitchen
NONE of them are HDTV, though I have HDTV tuners for the first two. (Wonder if I should do anything about the third... it's a small convenience, being able to watch in the kitchen as you're cooking.)
My experience with reception of OTA HDTV is that it's spotty -- often get pixelation and artifacts. I absolutely refuse to get cable or satellite.
I am NOT looking forward to the switchover... I think the better question to have asked in this thread would have been, "those of you who don't have an HDTV, do you plan on getting one in the near future?", since the switchover is going to result in a lot of TV's being thrown in the trash... a huge amount of electronics waste. I especially think of all the little TV's out there (like the one in my kitchen), that a lot of people won't bother converting over.
