About three hours elapsed beteen these two pictures:

The fires are bad, the drought is worse. The conditions are unfortunately exactly what is needed for these firestorms to occur. Heat, wind, practically no humidity, and lots of tinder dry fuel. A spark is literally all it takes to ignite a fire in these conditions.
