iphoto 08 ate all of my pictures

Using Mail. It all worked fine in my last iphoto. In Iphoto's get info window I made sure there were no extra export plugins as mentioned here.

I have reinstalled Iphoto and am still having the issue. Export to Mail works fine with Aperture.....been hunting for answers but no luck.
