I suspect they would understand our desire to prevent firearms from getting into the hands of anyone who would commit senseless atrocities against civilians as a tolerable regulation under the 2nd amendment.

If you actually READ what they WROTE, you'd see that they would instead favor putting more arms in the hands of law abiding citizens.
And armed society IS a polite society.
