We like to sit down for a good family scare on Halloween. My wife and I and our boys love a good fright. It is one of our family pleasures to all sit on the couch, turn out all the lights and try to scare the crap out of each other. They are at the point where they can handle pretty much everything. We were thinking of watching [Rec] but I wanted to see if others had recommendations.
The Kind of Movies We Think Are Scary (in no particular order)
Silence of the Lambs
Aliens
The Orphanage
Descent
The Shining
The Mist
Ju-On (Grudge)
The Ring
The Thing
Cloverfield
The Hills Have Eyes
Poltergeist
The kids have never seen Halloween - I just wonder how it holds up over the years... .maybe we'll watch that old standard. Also, I don't want them to see Texas Chainsaw or Hostel or Saw or Audition (yet). I don't know if I am even old enough to watch The Audition, actually....
OK - let's get a good list going.
