There was a comment about the AppleTV in the macrumors coverage of the keynote which I think is extremely interesting: "Podcasts are available in audio and video format, as well as photos from Flikr and .Mac and sync with iTunes." I don't have a TV and rarely go to the cinema or bother with DVDs - very unvisual person so my comments may be way-off.
I think this is a massively important announcement: if this means what I think it does, anyone with an internet connection can now effectively produce their own tv shows for a worldwide audience. Call it podTV if you like. I don't think podcasts were something anyone expected, yet they are becoming ever more ubiquitous. Now we have PodCastTV. I think this could be the turning point for the AppleTV and a completely new market. New market - more customers - aapl on the up.
