Is this a good deal for a Macbook Pro?
#7
[quote space-time]That sucks. You buy a computer from an authorized Apple retailer, the retailer says it was one year warranty, Apple says "Sorry". This should be a problem between Apple and the retailer, not between consumer and Apple. If they retailer does not tell the truth to consumers, they don't deserve to be an Apple retailer.
This is a USED computer, that had been sold several times, and first sold more than 1 year ago. Used computer salesmen are no different than used car salesmen. Best Buy does not have a good history of being knowledgeable of Apple's products or policies.

Apple's written warranty http://images.apple.com/legal/warranty/d...rranty.pdf says:

"for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of retail purchase by the original end user", so what BB is saying contradicts Apple's written policy, since it was first sold to the original end user back in November 2006, and then returned, and is now being sold as "USED". Maybe Apple will make an exception, but I wouldn't take BB's word for it, they don't make Apple's policy decisions.
