Here is the link to the page where you can input the serial number and see what Apple shows as the remaining warranty.

Here is what the box looks like toward the bottom right hand side of the page. Click on "Check my Warranty and Repair options" and it will bring up a page where you can input the serial number for the machine. It should tell you what it shows for remaining warranty, so you can figure out if it is eligible for Apple Care.
