I cleaned those folders and couldn't boot except in Safe. Since the developer hasn't gotten back and all the other mess I guess I'll do a clean.
That doesn't change the situ with my mums Intel iMac. She has just 10.5.1 on it and no 3rd party. At 86 I'm glad she gets thru email and Skype ........ most of the time.
On my 3rd responsibility, one of last years MBPs running the latest Pro Tools under 10.5.1. That one is happy as a p.i.s. Same 3rd party apps except TypeIt.
And judging from what I've read elsewhere, there are some valid problems with Leo.
I'll try 10.5.1 with this clean as I feel that was running smoother. And so do the people at Magma that make the ext chassis I use with Pro Tools. They do not suggest 10.5.1 as yet.
Their tiny company depends on the knowledge and beta testing they do for their customers.
A stumble here or there for $18B cash fat Apple isn't gonna hurt them, nor is it likely to send me or any other long term Apple user back to virus town.
I'm just saying, after 20 years of owning Macs, I think Leo may have come out a moment too soon.
